FAQ

Q: Can we enter with something that is not anime?

A: Videos should be comprised primarily of animation, whether western or anime style. If the judges feel it does not qualify as an AMV, the entry may be disqualified.

Q: What do the winners get?

A: Props, accolades, and shout outs on social media and the website. Plus we’ll have physical awards provided at closing ceremonies for those in attendance. Best in Show and Best in Editing will also win a free badge for Blerdcon 2021.

Q: When is the deadline for entry?

A: We are expecting a strong turnout for applicants, so entries are limited by number. We will be regulating the entries in waves, so stay tuned to social media and the website to see announcements about specific dates. It’s best to apply as soon as possible to ensure a shot at making it to finals.

Q: When will I know if my entry is accepted?

A: Once submissions are closed, we will reach out to those who have qualified as finalists via email. You will need to respond, so be sure that [email protected] is exempted from your spam filter.

Q: What if I have a different question?

A: Reach out to us at [email protected] and we will do our best to answer it. Do not send any videos directly via email; without a form, it will not be considered.
